Our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service is virtual this year. However, that does not diminish the meaning and celebration! We use this time to read the Christmas story from Luke 2 and sing traditional Christmas hymns. So get your Bible ready, your candle ready and settle in to the warmth that the Christ child brings.
The Christmas Eve message from Rev. Linda is about the baby’s name. A man’s name was very important to the Jewish people, so why didn’t Joseph name his son Yoshef? Or after his ancestor, King David? Because the baby was not his to name. The name had been decided ages ago by the Lord God himself.
You shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.
Matthew 1:21

Our Christmas Eve service will culminate with the lighting of our candles. If you want to fully participate in our worship, have a candle ready to light with us as we sing “Silent Night” and “Joy to the World” in celebration of the coming of the Christ child.
As we light our candles this evening, may the light of the Christ child shine in our hearts, and may we share that light with a world that lives in darkness. May you and your family have a blessed and joyous Christmas.
