Cross and Clouds

A Prayer of Welcome

I welcome everything
that comes to me in this moment
because I know it is for my healing.

I welcome all thoughts,
feelings, emotions,
persons, situations and conditions.

I let go of my desire for security.
I let go of my desire for approval.
I let go of my desire for control.
I let go of my desire to change any
situation, condition, person
or myself.

I open to the love and presence
of God and the healing action
and grace within.

The United States today has more than 300,000 churches: Every size. Every denomination. Every style. Every outlook and attitude.

So why worship at Maple United Methodist in Battle Creek? What do we offer and why should it matter to you?

First and foremost, we believe we are called to share God's love with everyone who walks through our doors - as well as those in the surrounding community. No matter what your background, occupation or education, you can be sure to find a warm welcome at Maple. (Frequently Asked Questions)

If you're hurting, we can help you find spiritual strength. If you are lonely, we offer fellowship and many ways to get involved. (Volunteer) If you're worried or afraid, we can help you see God's light in a world full of darkness.
If you're a family with kids, we have a Junior Church program for kids every Sunday morning. If you're single, we have many activities and programs to help you grow in the spirit.

Some churches are enormous with thousands of members. Because we're a smaller church, we can make sure that everyone is valued and appreciated - just as they are. What's more, we need you. We need your talents and unique personality to continue our 125+ year history of faith and outreach.

So, yes, you are always welcome at Maple United Methodist where "Everybody is somebody, and Jesus Christ is Lord!". We'd love to meet you and find out where you're headed on the long journey toward God. Come as you are, and bring along a friend if you'd like. There's no dress code and you don't have to be a Methodist to attend.
